Nice to meet ya!

Hi there! My name is Jess. I'm a born-and-raised New Englander who has been messing with cameras for a decade now, ever since beginning work as a church branding photographer in Connecticut. Crafting sincere and impactful content for their social media, content that truly resonated with people in a landscape oversaturated with manufactured moments, started to nurture a growing love in me for the beauty that naturally flows from people.

I started to love the imperfect. I started to love portraits I took where a kids' face was half out of frame because he was laughing so hard, the portraits where a new wifes' hands are blurred in her rush to throw her arms around her new husband.

I learned art doesn't follow large productions, or direction, or manufacturing. It's a natural extension of who we are. Of who YOU are...
Art follows people.
That lesson bloomed quickly into a love for artful visuals with texture and movement. A love for couple and family portraiture that emphasizes unforced interactions between people who love each other. And a love for brand visuals that are raw and full of character, that still bring measurable results. If that sounds like your cup of tea, you're the kind of person I want to create art with!

On that note, I don't expect you to feel comfortable with me when you don't know anything about me, so here's some rapid fire facts about "Jess":

I'm absolutely, positively obsessed with New England. The history, the textures, the people, the INSANE beauty of our mountains and coasts and woods - holy moly, I love it here! Because of that, one of my favorite things to do is...

Explore different corners of New England with my husband JoJo (that's him above!), he's the coolest person I know and helps me plan a lot of my portrait sessions. He has an UNCANNY ability to find the stunning, underrated spots no-one else seems to use.
I'm a firm believer that the best matchas in New England have a home at Nana's in Mystic, CT, and Snowy Owl Brewster Coffee House in (you guessed it) Brewster, MA. Prove me wrong.

My love for storied places and things means I have an unhealthy love for thrifting - if I'm not at a session or editing, or adventuring with JoJo, I'm probably thrifting.

I love to EAT! I'm a sucker for funky food combos and will cook from home whenever I can, everything from dark chocolate tahini-almond pastries, sundried tomato goat cheese pastries, sourdough pancakes, all the things.

I would LOVE to get to know you more and hear what kind of art you're hoping to create together, I'd love to hear what kind of art you want to leave behind.
